In 2021, she established her own consulting practice, where she offers technical and strategic guidance, educational support, mentoring, and impartial expert advice in the fields of batteries, clean transportation, and energy.

Industry Experience

After completing my PhD in Technical Physics, specializing in theoretical solid-state physics at Graz University of Technology, I joined AVL List GmbH in Graz, Austria. Over nearly four years, I advanced from simulation engineer to project manager and product manager, working across a variety of areas including battery technology, E-drive systems, and broader electrification topics. I played a key role in international customer projects, developed methodologies, and supervised students working on battery cell, module, pack, and vehicle applications.

Core topics included:

Battery thermal runaway and propagation simulation, grounded in battery abuse testing, using finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations.
Battery lifetime prediction, based on battery cell testing and utilizing electrochemical, half-empirical, and data-driven models to enhance battery longevity.
Battery thermal management, including thermal concept studies, compliance with battery standards and regulations, and the development of virtual sensors and solid-state batteries.

Since 2021, I have been working as an independent consultant, offering my expertise to a wide range of clients in the electric vehicle (EV) and battery industries. My consulting work includes both technical and strategic guidance across multiple domains, such as battery development, simulation and testing, reuse and recycling, and artificial intelligence (AI) in E-mobility.

I have worked on numerous projects, including:

Helping clients in the software and simulation space develop their product portfolio and integrate cutting-edge technologies.
Assisting a customer with a 3D welding technology in finding applications within the EV battery module and pack sector.
Supporting materials companies in identifying their role within the EV battery value chain and finding strategic matches.
Advising startups across the battery industry, including those focused on battery recycling, new battery chemistries such as 3D batteries, and the software-as-a-service (SaaS) sector.
Working with a client in the battery equipment and testing space to pinpoint the right market opportunities and growth strategies.
